For the past four years, Thomaston Savings Bank has supported the Share the Warmth Drive through an employee collection and is doing so again this year. Cheryl Lindstrom (pictured), AVP/Community Outreach Officer of Thomaston Savings Bank commented, “Our bank and employees are proud to support Acts 4 Ministry’s ambitions of inspiring acts of love. We thank the Ministry for providing dignified, thoughtful, caring support and services to those most in need in our community.”

“Our continual mission,” explained DiMeo-Carabetta, “is to provide individuals or families who have experienced a life devastating event with opportunities to feel loved as they rebuild their lives with basic needs by coming to our facility to personally select clothing, dishes, glassware, furnishings, and other basic needs at no charge.”

The organization partners with churches, social service agencies, and public schools to help identify and serve people in the context of the broader community regardless of their faith, race, creed, national origin, or willingness to participate in religious activities.

Acts 4 Ministry’s retail store environment provides people with immediate basic living needs and the ability to select clothing, furniture, and household items at no cost. “Individuals and families are often referred to us by other charitable organizations,” explained DiMeo-Carabetta. “In our retail store, they experience an atmosphere that preserves their dignity and allows them to personally select what they need. This is a respectful environment where everyone is treated with caring support.”
