SOUTHBURY – CT Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz will be the featured guest speaker at the Southbury Democratic Town Committee’s (SDTC) Annual Fall Picnic from 12 to 3 p.m., Saturday, September 23, at Ballantine Park Pavilion, 611 Old Field Rd. This family friendly event will be held during rain or shine.

“Please join us for an afternoon of good food and fun with great people, including our esteemed Lt. Governor and First Selectman Candidate Tim O’Neil,” said SDTC Chairman Michael Carrington.

“Our annual picnic is designed to give Southbury residents of all ages and political persuasions an opportunity to mingle with Democratic candidates. Come out and get to know your current and future municipal leaders, ask questions, share concerns, and enjoy the fabulous fall weather and community camaraderie,” Carrington added.

In addition to the Lieutenant Governor and Mr. O’Neil, Board of Selectmen candidates Justin Bette, Jenn Fenn, and Kim McNeill will be in attendance to meet guests, discuss their accomplishments, answer questions, and share their hopes for the future of Southbury.

The afternoon picnic will consist of hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, sides, and sweet treats catered by Frankies, a CT family restaurant. The cost for lunch is $25 per adult and $12.50 per child 12 and under. Reservations must be made by visiting the Events Page of the SDTC website at www.southburydemocrats.com, completing the reservation form, and making payment.
