Senator Rob Kane Receives Endorsement from NFIB Connecticut

As of September 17, 2014, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has endorsed Senator Robert J. Kane’s campaign for re-election to the Connecticut General Assembly in November 2014.

NFIB/Connecticut State Director Andy Markowski wrote to Senator Kane, “Your voting record over the last two legislative sessions on key issues important to small business indicated that you will continue to be committed to the needs of thousands of Main Street small businesses and their employees in Connecticut when you are re-elected to serve in Hartford.”

Representing the 32nd Senatorial District, Senator Kane, a long-time resident of Watertown, Senator Kane’s district consists of Bethlehem, Oxford, Roxbury, Middlebury, Southbury, Watertown, Seymour, Bridgewater, Washington, and Woodbury. Senator Kane commented, “This is truly an appreciated endorsement of support for my re-election candidacy. In all sincerity, I am very much looking forward to serving another term."

"As a small business owner myself of KarTele at 511 Wolcott Street in Waterbury for 20 years, I’m very much attuned to the needs of small business owners. As a sole proprietor, I’ve been very actively involved in the Wolcott Street/Lakewood Road Business Association (WSLR) to help market and develop the retail, service and restaurant businesses in that area. For 20 years, I’ve also been an active member of ProfNet of Waterbury, the non-profit Professional Networking Group of Waterbury.”

Currently Senator Kane is a Senate Deputy Minority Leader in the Senate and serves as the leading Republican Senator, or Ranking Member, of the General Assembly’s Appropriations Committee. He also serves as a member of the Public Health and Regulations Review committee. Senator Kane continues to advocate for the issues that are important to Connecticut, especially to the people living in the 32nd District.
