Acts 4 Ministry To Benefit From Virtual Trivia Fundraiser Nov. 21

Following a highly-successful Virtual Bingo fundraiser on September 24th, the non-denominational non-profit Acts 4 Ministry, Inc. at 1713 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury will be the singular beneficiary of a two-hour Virtual Trivia fundraiser. The online event will be held on Saturday, November 21 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and hosted by Get Your Bingo On (GYBO), and sponsored by the trust wealth management firm of Halsey Associates in New Haven, Connecticut.

“We had a wonderful Virtual Bingo fundraiser event in September and would like to continue offering the community fun ways to support us while raising funds for this very needed community-focused ministry,” explained Acts 4 Ministry Executive Director Sarah Elizabeth Carabetta.

Acts 4 Ministry is a collaborative group of a volunteer board of directors, staff members, and dozens of volunteers who desire to share God’s love by meeting the comforting physical needs of others. “We work towards this goal daily,” explained Acts 4 Ministry Chairman of the Board John Bishop. “By creating these virtual fundraiser events, we are continuing to work with the community to collect and redistribute needed furnishings and household items to families and individuals throughout the Greater Waterbury region who are in need of assistance especially during these trying times. The Virtual Trivia fundraiser will help us to keep our doors open through the winter months.”

The event's sponsor, Halsey Associates, is a part of Washington Trust Wealth Management, one of the premier wealth management firms in the region. Washington Trust Wealth Management is a division of The Washington Trust Company. Founded in 1967, Halsey Associates offers customized solutions and a holistic approach tailored to each client's unique situations through all stages of their life by helping individuals and their families connect their resources to their dreams.

The Virtual Trivia game will begin at 7:00 p.m. by offering a challenging game that features a mixed bag of trivia questions. Participants are given 10 seconds to answer each question, so it doesn't allow for any online search engine searches. All anyone needs to play is a laptop, desktop or iPad, and one smartphone for each team. Team players answer the questions using an app on their smartphone and all answers are automatically sent into GYBO's system for point tabulation. Teams that answer the question correctly get points and the team that answers the question the fastest receives extra points. The cost is $20/person and each player will receive their unique access code on November 20.

To register for the November 21st Virtual Trivia fundraiser, participants can visit https://www.acts4.org, and go to the “TRIVIA” button at the top right corner of the home page.

All registration donations are tax-deductible. Donations can also be made to Acts 4 Ministry year-round on their website, www.acts4.org. and by check or money order made payable to Acts 4 Ministry, Inc. and U.S. Mailed to PO Box 4524, Waterbury, CT 06704.
