A Night of Music July 28 at Good News Café

On Thursday, July 28, from 7 to 9:30 pm, Good News Café in Woodbury will host an evening of live, original music featuring Dr. Steve, Mitch Katz and Woody.

Dr. Steve is Steven Prasinos: Psychologist, Singer/Songwriter and published Science Fiction author. He has been performing his quirky psycho-spiritual-groove music throughout the area for many years. Songs like a “The Duck in the Truck and the Cow in the Now,” “Twisted Men” and “The Fruit and Vegetable Dance” are crowd favorites. Hi5net TV says he writes “...songs that really make you think, laugh, and cry. ” Dr. Stevealso fronts the Dr. Steve Band.  For more information visit drstevesongs.com.

Mitch Katz is a contemporary songwriter with a penetrating vision of life. A mix of crafty lyrics and compelling melodies bring sensitivity and humor to a mix of ballads and blues, with some political observation thrown in for good measure. His confident guitar playing is a perfect complement for his voice, which has just enough grit to lend a flavor of hard-won life experience. Mitch’s warm and engaging stage presence makes his audience feel right at home as he gives voice to their dreams and desires. His website is mitchkatz.com.

Woody Levin is an old friend of Dr. Steve’s and an accomplished mandolin player.

The musicians will vary their arrangements, performing solo and as a duo and trio.

A full menu will be available and admission is free. A hat will be passed for donations.

Good News Café is located at 694 Main St. South in Woodbury. To make dinner reservations or inquire further, call 203-266-4663.
