The Friends of the Roxbury Library are hosting a one-day, holiday book sale on Saturday, December 2, from 10:00 AM till 6:00 PM at the Hodge Memorial Library and Museum, 4 North Street, Roxbury.
With a crackling fire in the inglenook, collectible books, gift books, and fine art books will be offered for sale. Many of the books offered are new or like new, and some are new releases. Several books are signed by the authors. Christmas books and music are available for sale, and vintage LPs and Life Magazines can be purchased. Patrons can browse through hundreds of books while waiting for the annual holiday tree lighting at 6:00 pm, or come earlier in the day.
The Hodge Memorial Library and Museum, Roxbury’s first public library, is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2017. Additional events at the library are a reading of “Dolce Domum” from the “Wind in the Willows” on the 16th and a wine tasting on the 18th.
