Computer Classes for the Confused at Southbury Library

Computers for the Confused
Friday, March 9th from 2-4pm in the Kingsley Room

If you have had limited exposure to PCs and are not very comfortable with using one, then this course will help you understand your PC's potential.  Join Mike Ingber for a discussion on the types of computers available and some of the confusing terminology and jargon that is used.  For instance, do you know the difference between a hard drive and RAM?  Mike will talk about using your mouse and keyboard more effectively, will cover Windows basics and how to find your way around and will briefly cover some basics of using the Internet and Email.  He will also discuss how to stay safe while using your computer.

No prior knowledge is required for this class, but please bring lots of questions!

Mike Ingber is the owner of Upward Business Systems, which has been in business since 1989 and provides expert, reliable, affordable computer consulting services to a large base of clients.  Clients include town halls, schools, non-profit agencies, small and medium businesses of all sorts, home users, and senior citizens.  Mike received an M.S. Degree in Computer Science from Cornell University in 1979, and a B.S. Degree in Computer Science and Applied Math from Stony Brook University in 1977.

To register call the Reference Department of the Southbury Library at 203-262-0626 ext. 130
