Brass City Brew & 'Que on Saturday, September 8

Celebrating its 13th year of success, Waterbury’s very popular Brass City Brew Fest has a new look, some dynamic new additions, and a new name – the Brass City Brew & ‘Que (BCB&Q). The annual fundraiser for Main Street Waterbury will be held rain or shine under numerous tents in the park behind the Silas Bronson Library at 267 Grand Street.

On Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. more than 2,000 beer aficionados from across New England and beyond will gather for this year’s festive celebration featuring 125+ breweries and brewpubs showcasing 250+ domestic and international brews. The fundraiser will also feature live music, pitmaster competitions, craft beer and BBQ seminars, home brewers competition, BBQ food vendors and much more.

The 2018 Brass City Brew & ‘Que is presented by the non-profit Main Street Waterbury with the support of Presenting Sponsor Blasius Chevrolet of Waterbury and Performance Sponsor The City of Waterbury Arts & Tourism Commission. The event is hosted by Nutmeg Fine Wines & Spirits, has media support from iHeartMedia and the official ride sponsor is Uber.

The formerly-named Brass City Brew Fest (BCBF) has evolved over the past 12 years into one of the largest in New England and provides an exceptional opportunity for beer lovers to sample an exciting variety of craft brews. This event has drawn attendees from more than 90 Connecticut towns and a dozen states up and down the East Coast.

Advance ticket price is $35 and $40 at the gate on September 8. The purchase of tickets in advance is highly recommended as past Main Street Waterbury Brass City Brew Fest rapidly sold out.

A Very Intimate Preview (VIP) Session will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with a maximum of 700 attendees for an additional $10.

All ticket holders will be welcomed to enjoy a Home Brewers Showcase featuring regional up-and-coming craft brewers, three free beer-tastings, and brewing mini-seminars to be held throughout the day, hearty BBQ food offerings from local restaurants and food trucks, plus several live bands, and a Downtown Bartenders Showcase in the event’s center tent.

The Pit Master competition is being produced by Kevin Egan, a member of the New England Barbecue Society (NEBS). Egan is schooled in the art of smoking meats and other related techniques. He has sampled some of the nations’ best barbecue and is looking forward to coordinating his ‘first’ event for Waterbury and this annual fundraiser event for Main Street Waterbury.
