Computer Classes in November at Southbury Library
Basic Internet Skills:
Saturday, November 10 from 1-3pm
Internet Browsers let us access and enjoy all of the content and information available on the Internet. Join us and learn about using the most popular Internet Browsers (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.) to get around the Internet. We will discuss useful browsing techniques and shortcuts, searching for information, using Browser tabs, adding Bookmarks, setting a home page, staying safe, as well as additional topics. Join us and begin getting more out of your browser!
Basic Microsoft Excel:
Thursday, November 29 from 2-4pm
Microsoft Excel is the most popular Spreadsheet used by all types of users, including businesses, schools, and home users. Spreadsheets are an ideal solution when you have information that is organized as rows and columns of data. In this class, we will cover the basics and essentials of using Excel. Topics will include: how to use and design a spreadsheet, navigating around a spreadsheet, working with textual information, formatting your spreadsheet, and much more. Join us, and begin to explore the power of using Microsoft Excel!
Intermediate Microsoft Excel:
Friday, November 30 from 2-4pm
This class picks up where the Basic Excel class leaves off, so some knowledge of Excel is helpful. Topics will include: working with numeric data, using formulas to do simple calculations, using Excel's versatile built-in functions, and more. Join us, and continue to explore the power and versatility of Microsoft Excel!
All classes will take place in the Kingsley B room.
