Connecticut 169 Club: Your Passport & Guide to Exploring Connecticut

Join us to hear more about 169 towns and cities in Connecticut. Author, adventurer and historian Martin Podskoch put together an amazing guidebook about Connecticut curiosities and back roads. The book is a collective effort with writers, historians and officials writing about the amazing things in their towns and cities.

Berkshire Jazz Orchestra Holiday Concert

Get ready to listen to some classic holiday songs with a twist with the Berkshire Jazz Orchestra. Some of the popular holiday standards they will play are Winter Wonderland, Chestnuts Roasting by an Open Fire, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Sleigh Ride, Charlie Brown's Christmastime is Here and many other familiar songs.

Munchies & a Movie: A Christmas Story Live(for all ages*)
Friday, December 14, 6-8pm in the Kingsley Room, Registration Required

A new twist on a holiday classic! Everyone is invited to watch the 2017 live version of A Christmas Story. This adaptation is based on Jean Shepherd's book and movie and the recent hit Broadway musical.  This movie is rated PG and runs 2 hours and 13 minutes. Snacks and water provided. *Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

DIY Gifts: Gingerbread Scrub (for Grades 6-12)

Learn how to make a Gingerbread Body Scrub, perfect for the spa lover in your life (or maybe yourself!). You'll leave with enough scrub for 1 gift and a recipe for more. This scrub is quick, easy, smells great, and is good for your skin.

Harry Potter and the Holiday Murder Mystery (for Grades 4-12)
Friday, December 7, 6:30pm, 1st Floor, Registration Required

It's the Holidays at Hogwarts castle and most of the students have gone home for the holiday break. Tonight's the big holiday party, but just after the festivities can begin, someone has gone missing! Is it a simple mix up, or something more sinister? Join us (and help us solve the mystery) for our special Harry Potter Holiday Murder Mystery!

DIY Gifts: Paracord Survival Bracelet (for Grades 6-12) 
Monday, December 10, 4-5pm, Kingsley Room, Registration Required- space is limited

Join us to make a Paracord Survival Bracelet! Paracord bracelets can be worn by any gender, are easy to customize in color, and contain about 8 feet of paracord (also known as parachute cord, a lightweight, strong, and thin nylon rope useful in many situations). You'll leave with one bracelet you made yourself, and instructions for how to make more.
