Celebrate Arbor Day in Southbury

Southbury Arbor Day Celebration on April 26 beginning at 8:30 am at Southbury Police Station

Southbury Historical Tree Restoration Committee announces its 22nd annual Arbor Day celebration to be held Friday, April 26th at 8:30 a.m. at the Southbury Police station. This year’s ceremonial planting of a White Fir tree will take place at the northeast corner of the Police Station at the corner of Peter Road and Main Street South.

All are welcome to attend the dedication ceremony honoring all of Southbury’s First Responders past and present:

  • Southbury Police Department
  • Southbury Volunteer Fire Department
  • Southbury Ambulance Association
  • Heritage Village Ambulance
  • Southbury Training School Ambulance
  • Connecticut State Police Troop A

The Committee, appointed by the Southbury Board of Selectmen, has served as steward of our trees and with the support of Southbury’s Public Works Department work to replace older declining trees and plant new ones in areas where few are present.
