Annual Community Showcase at Southbury Senior Center tomorrow from 10am to 2pm
This is a unique showcase which is intended to connect local businesses of all types with seniors in order to offer information, demonstrations and the ability to conduct some holiday shopping.
Over 30 vendors in attendance, including Edward Jones, Marie Movers, Waterbury Hospital, Business and Shipping Center of Southbury and many crafters and other vendors for holiday shopping including Southbury Senior Center Quilters, Blake Apparel, Country Cabinet Shop, Holly Goat Farm and many others.
Some local businesses will offer interactive projects, for example, making a holiday wreath for the Festival of Wreaths and a make-and-take ornament. Hearing and blood pressure screenings and flu shots will also be offered. Waterbury Hospital will have a File of Life table to enable participants to enroll in that program.And there will be over 30 raffles including a gorgeous handmade quilt, theater tickets, movie tickets, seasonal baskets, jewelry, gift cards to local shops.
