If you are a high school student who is excited about college but struggles with choosing a major, or a college student who still isn't quite sure of your career pursuits, then this workshop will be invaluable. This course will take you on a journey of self-exploration, the foundation of career preparation using Susan's 5 point model to help you identify your personality traits, skills and strengths, interests, values and purpose, and link this information to career options and courses of study that best fit who YOU are. You will learn the basics of resume writing and formatting, and how to match your 'brand' to specific job positions by the expert use of copy that encapsulates who you are and why your unique selling features are 'perfect for the job'! You will learn how to synthesize your experience into a focused document that will open doors and give you the best chance of securing an internship or your dream job. Students will learn to write cover letters that not only introduce themselves to recruiters, but showcase their unique skills that are specific to the position they are interested in.
