Gloria Cachion Art Gallery: Judith Secco

November 6 - December 29, 2020

Judith is a native of Connecticut's northwest corner and an avid self-taught photographer. Her love of photography began with an in-home darkroom focusing mainly on black and white images which later developed into an interest in digital photography. She has experimented with and developed her own technique in photo editing using layers, textures, and composites of more than one photo. Through post processing, her images take on a unique quality as she enhances the beauty of her subject with an artistic eye, bringing nature to life.

Shooting a variety of subjects, Judith's work finds its balance between photography and fine art. She has won numerous awards for her work which has been shown throughout New England. All framed photographs are printed on an Epson 5000 professional printer using archival inks and paper. Most frames are created by Judith's husband, James, adding a beautiful finishing touch to each piece.

The exhibit includes a mix of subject matter, including Connecticut farms, barns, landscapes, flowers, animals, and still life. The exhibit will be open during regular library hours. Please visit our website to learn more.
