Jazz and the Civil Rights Movement Lecture and Performance at Southbury Public Library

On Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021 from 1-2:30pm on Zoom, join Southbury Public Library for a musical presentation of the history of jazz and its place in the Civil Rights Movement.

Enjoy an informative lecture on the link between jazz and civil rights, and a jazz flute performance. Galen Abdur-Razzaq is an extraordinary flautist with an extensive performance career. He is also a riveting speaker on the topic of jazz, and has performed at colleges and universities for over thirty years. 

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency.
