Rain Barrel Workshop on February 15 in the Community Room at the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department

Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition (PRWC) is hosting a Rain Barrel Workshop on Wednesday, February 15 in the Community Room at the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department from 6 PM to 7 PM.

PRWC will guide participants in constructing their own rain capture with the use of a conversion kit and a 55- gallon repurposed barrel. The $45 per household registration includes a 55-gallon barrel, conversion kit, and instruction. All of the materials are provided at the workshop and PRWC staff will help guide you through the construction process.

The 55-gallon rain barrel will capture your roof’s rainwater that can be used to water your garden, wash your car, and much more. Supplies are limited; register by calling the PRWC at (203) 263-0076 or email at info@pomperaug.org.

Pre-registration and payment is required. All participants must be prepared to bring their rain barrels home with them after the workshop.
