The Waterbury American Job Center is excited to announce an upcoming Job and Resource Fair, providing a valuable platform for job seekers and local businesses to connect and thrive together. This event, aimed at strengthening the workforce and enhancing community engagement, will take place at the American Job Center located at 249 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury, CT on September 20th, 2023 from 12 to 4PM.
The Job and Resource Fair will also feature community organizations and agencies offering guidance on essential services such as healthcare, childcare, and housing assistance. Participants can connect with staff from local agencies who can provide valuable insights and assistance beyond job placement. Kids and families are also encouraged to attend the event to not only learn about these local resources, but to grab an afternoon snack at one of our local food trucks, and be entertained by local entertainment.
Attendees will have the chance to explore a wide range of job opportunities across various industries, from entry-level positions to advanced careers. Representatives from local companies will be present to discuss vacancies, accept applications, and conduct on-the-spot interviews. Job seekers are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resumes and dress professionally.
