Philips Farm Preserve 20th Anniversary Celebration

Southbury Land Trust invites you to share in a full day of free family fun with the Phillips Farm Preserve 20th Anniversary Celebration on October 7.

The event begins with the 9 a.m. History Hike along Jeremy Swamp Road with historian John Dwyer and SLT President Joe Ruggiero with special guest, Pete Rzasa. The historical content will cover the landscape, mills, and families in this area and is best-suited for adults. The group returns to the farm at about 11 a.m. For those unable to walk the full length, a bus will be available to take participants to the start or to take back to the farm grounds.

The grounds open to the public at 10 a.m. with the following highlights:

10: 30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
The Farm to Heart Petting Zoo sponsored by Mitchell Oil Co.

Vintage Tractors sponsored by Jeff Manville & Family

1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Bonnie Jacobson Trio sponsored by the Bennett Family of Companies

George's History Barn, Children's old-fashioned games, food trucks, farm hikes, photo ops, pumpkin painting and more.
