The Fairfield Counts Big Band Orchestra will perform a concert at the 39th Annual UCC, Southbury Strawberry Festival on Sunday, June 14th. The dancing and music is sponsored by the duBell/Mileti families in memory of Frank S. duBell and Paula S. duBell and is scheduled between 12:00 noon and 1:30 pm.
The band's repertoire includes the original arrangements of big band classics from Fletcher Henderson in the '30s to Woody Herman in the '80s, in addition to big band versions of contemporary tunes. An open invitation is extended for everyone to attend this free concert. Just listening or dancing to this music, simply enjoying the sound of the big band or reliving memories of the past, will guarantee a very enjoyable afternoon.
