Southbury Storm Restoration Update, Friday, May 18
Shelter
- The Senior Center shelter will close at noon today and resume regular hours beginning Monday.
- Pomperaug High School is open 24/7 for showers, water (bring your own containers), charging and sleeping.
- PHS will be serving hot meals between 11am - 2pm and 6pm, through Sunday, May 20, 2018.
- Minors must be accompanied by an adult at ALL times!
Transfer Station
- The Southbury Transfer Station will be open 7am - 5pm, every day through Saturday, May 26, 2018.
- RESIDENTS ONLY may bring storm debris at no charge.
- As always, the transfer station will NOT be accepting debris from Commercial contractors/businesses; they will be turned away.
- We anticipate long lines, please be patient.
Town Buildings
- Southbury Town Hall remains open during regular business hours
- Southbury Public Library is now open. (Regular hours)
Water
- Potable water is available through the hydrant at the Center Fire House (461 Main Street South). Bring your own containers.
- The water tank remains at Community House Park.
