The Southbury Emergency Management Team had a partial activation of the Emergency Operations Center and have been working with our local Emergency Services and public utilities throughout the day and we will continue to monitor the remainder of the storm and do expect some additional rain tonight and during the day tomorrow.
At 4:00 PM the center of Tropical Storm Henri was located approximately 15 miles southeast of Hartford. Henri is moving to the northwest at approximately 9 MPH with maximum sustained winds estimated at 40 MPH.
At 4:00 PM radar showed bands of heavy rain from Tropical Storm Henri continuing in western CT. North and Northeast winds are currently gusting to 30 - 40 MPH across most of the state. Eversource and UI are currently reporting a total of 29,473 customers without power across the state mainly in eastern CT.
