Ashurst Irish Dancers Step Out for St. Patrick's Day

The Ashurst Academy of Irish Dance has dancers stepping out all over Connecticut to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and Irish Heritage Month. Leading the troupe of young dancers are academy owners and instructors, Craig and Christina Ashurst, who formerly toured the world as leads in Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.

The couple recently married and settled in Connecticut before opening the academy in June 2016. The school has recently been featured on WTNH News 8 and was voted "Connecticut's Best Dance Studio for Kids" by Mommy Poppins CT. Their dancers have earned exceptional results from the New England Regional Championships, performed with PBS stars the Celts and the Celtic Tenors, and are now in the midst of performing at over 30 businesses and establishments throughout the state.

The academy offers Irish dancing lessons in Newtown, Danbury and Southbury, CT and is currently enrolling beginner classes for June as well as summer camps. Information can be found at http://www.ashurstirishdance.com or by calling (203) 928-0689.
