Southbury Resident Starts PGA Tour, Receives Sponsorship from Golf Performance Center

The Golf Performance Center of Ridgefield, CT is very proud to announce its sponsorship of John VanDerLaan, who is starting on the PGA Tour this week at his first event, the Barbasol Championship at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

John had an inspiring college career, which was topped off by winning the Jack Nicklaus Award as the Best Player in College Golf for Division II. In his college career, he won seven times in 2018, Team National Championship 2017, Individual National Champion 2018, and lowest adjusted scoring average of 69. John was ranked #12 in the country, earned the SSC Men's Golf Player of the Year award, and was most recently ranked as a Top 25 Amateur in the World!

Roger Knick, Founder / CEO of the Golf Performance Center, states, “John started with us when he was 13 years old and has dedicated his life to becoming the best golfer he can be, all while being a terrific young man. We are proud of his accomplishments and we wish him many more years of success!”
