Southbury Parks & Rec Fall Activity Guide, Registration OPEN

Southbury Parks and Recreation Department is proud to announce the release of its Fall Activities Guide, filled with returning favorites and new programs that are sure to excite. Some of our new programs include:

THE WIZARDS SCHOOL OF MAGIC

Students in grades K-5 will learn four magic tricks from Tom O'Brien, a full-time professional magician, whose credits include appearances on the Fox 61 Morning Show and WFSB's Better Connecticut. Tom O'Brien is a master at his craft and is a wonderful and entertaining teacher as well. All students will receive their own magic kits containing the props necessary to perform them at home, and a magic wand.

BOYS/GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL INTRAMURAL VOLLEYBALL

Co-Ed League Volleyball that is fun for all skill levels or level of athleticism. No prior experience required. No practices. Games will be played on weekend afternoons. Jerseys will be provided to all players.

PLAY N' LEARN PRESCHOOL FUN

New and exciting class for children ages 3-5! We will blend learning and playing through movement, song, laughter, and hands-on activities in a FUN, positive and engaging atmosphere. This 25 session class will start in circle time, cover a letter of the day, encourage your child to write their own name, inspire creativity through drawing and painting, practice yoga, involve play centers, have a daily read aloud, and lots of singing. We plan to encourage strengthening of communication skills through peer imaginative play and sharing during circle time. This class will help your child become independent in a loving environment

RMS MOUNT SOUTHINGTON SKI CLUB

Join us on 4 trips to Mount Southington full of fun and action. The ski club will run in the winter but we urge you to register now. Departure from Rochambeau Middle School will be right after school at 3:00pm and the bus will return around 9:00pm at RMS. Participants will be transported by Coach Bus.
