Stew Leonard’s is 50, CT Celebrates with Live Cows at State Capitol

World's Largest Dairy and 400 Million Dollar Institution Honored by State of Connecticut Tomorrow

For the first time in a century, there will be live cows at the Connecticut State Capitol Building as Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont joins officials in a milk toast honoring iconic Stew Leonard’s on their 50th Anniversary. They will also be celebrating Mr. Leonard’s 90th birthday.

Beginning as a small dairy in 1969, the Leonard family began as milkmen supplying milk in rural Connecticut.  50 years later, the $400-million/year enterprise services over 11 million customers across the nation and has become an institution. They have served millions of local residents from Connecticut farms in the past five decades.
