The Town of Southbury is currently accepting applications for the positions of a Floater and a Social Services Administrator.

Clerk/Utility/Floater. Full Time. Performs a variety of secretarial duties in various Departments. Types memoranda, reports, minutes of meetings, etc. Responsible for filing and posting according to statutory time frame requirements. Serves the public, screens telephone calls, answers inquiries, schedules appointments and maintains files. Minimum qualifications: Graduation from high school plus one year of business school and six months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Social Services Administrator. Part time (20 hours per week). Evaluates, administers and delivers a variety of local assistance programs to the needy public and public welfare organizations within a framework of State and Federal law and local practice. Graduation from high school and a Bachelor Degree in Social Work or related field plus one year of experience in a social services setting.
