Celebrate high summer with some of the best burgers and best craft beer in Connecticut.
Good News Café is teaming up with Firefly Hollow Brewing of Bristol, featured in The New York Times among the best small breweries in the state, for a fun evening Thursday, July 21, pairing Firefly Hollow beers with a special menu of Carole Peck’s Zeeburgers.
Firefly Hollow’s beers are so fresh that the exact offerings July 21 have yet to be determined. The likely star will be the highly rated Cone Flakes Double IPA, and there will be a special surprise beer in a cask. And the burgers include:
- Juicy Lucy blue cheese-stuffed beef burger
- “Hotter than Hell” burger
- Zatar lamb & feta burger
- Lean & Mean” seven-ounce Antelope burger
- Asian tuna and salmon burger
- Veggie burger
Sides include house-made pickles & slaw, Yucca and sweet potato fries, and the “ethereal” onion bundle. The cost is $20 for a Zeeburger and a Firefly Hollow beer. No reservations are required; stop by the restaurant starting at 6 p.m. Guests in a group may call the restaurant at 203-266-4663 to reserve a table in the Radio Room or on the Patio.
