Michaels Jewelers In Waterbury Welcomes New Manager, Sarah Robinson

Michaels Jewelers, located on the second level of the Brass Mill Center Mall at 495 Union Street in Waterbury, is welcoming a new manager, Ms. Sarah Robinson of Waterbury.

Michaels Jewelers is one of Connecticut’s leading merchants of diamonds and fine jewelry. Lindsay Michaels-Gorski, a fifth generation of the Michaels’ founders and current director of marketing for the statewide jewelry specialist, announced Ms. Robinson’s appointment and stated, “We are especially impressed that Sarah has been certified with the Diamond Council of America.”

Michaels is one of the first jewelers in Connecticut to earn Certified Gemologist and Certified Gemologist Appraiser titles, and it possesses one of the few AGS Accredited Gem Laboratories in the state.

Born and raised in Waterbury, Sarah Robinson has been working in the jewelry industry for the past five years. Prior to joining Michaels in May of 2018, she worked for Signet in Waterbury and was named a top sales associate. In 2016 she became certified by the Diamond Council of America.

“For me, it’s not about selling jewelry, it’s about making memories that will last a lifetime and I feel honored that people choose me to become part of that moment in their life. Working with Michaels Jewelers has created feelings of being part of one big family and that an important piece of my career had been missing and now that piece has been filled. One of the most rewarding parts of my position as a store manager is that I train and teach others to learn and love what they do.”

With 10 locations across Connecticut, plus their PANDORA franchise locations, Michaels Jewelers is Connecticut’s leading retailer of diamonds and fine jewelry. This family-run business was founded in 1885 by Abraham L. Michaels and is managed today by fourth and fifth generation family members.
