Allstar Home Appliance Celebrating 35 Years In Business

During November 2019, Allstar Home Appliance Center is celebrating 35 years in business as the Waterbury region’s premier full-service home appliance store. Located at 1215 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury, Allstar Home Appliance is an authorized seller for the full line of Whirlpool®, Kitchen-Aid®, MAYTAG®, and Amana refrigerators, stoves, built-in wall ovens and cooktops, dishwashers, microwaves, washers, dryers, compactors, disposals, and more.

“We are also authorized to provide service and repairs for all major brands and the repairs carry a one year guarantee on parts and labor,” explained owner John Ciccio. “For the do-it-yourselfers, we also offer an extensive parts department that covers all brands.”

The family-owned and operated Allstar Home Appliance store has been in operation since 1984. The first store was located on Baldwin Street in Waterbury and primarily offered service of major appliances and sales of reconditioned appliances.

In 1992 when the store relocated to Lakewood Road in Waterbury, Allstar Home Appliance became an authorized seller for Whirlpool, Kitchen-Aid, MAYTAG, Jenn-Air, and Amana and continued to offer all the same services for maintenance of appliances.

“While on Lakewood Road,” commented Ciccio, “We began looking for a more convenient location that would be closer to the Route 8 and I 84 interchange, plus offer additional parking. In 2007, we moved to our current location at 1215 Thomaston Avenue in Waterbury.

“We still offer the same professional, friendly, and efficient service plus consistently competitive pricing on the new appliance sales that are often lower than big box stores. Recently we expanded our offering by carrying scratch and dent appliances that help consumers save 30 to 50% on the cost of each appliance.

“It is our ongoing firm belief that Allstar Appliance offers consistently personable and efficient service plus money-saving brand-name products and product expertise that has kept us in operation for the past three and a half decades. Our competitive pricing on all our products is consistently as good, often better than the many big box stores. Frequently our pricing is better for the consumer,” emphasized Ciccio.

“Our products, costs, and services have been so consistently respected and sought out through the years to the point that Allstar Home Appliance has outlasted some of the bigger stores that have all gone out of business,” stated Ciccio.

“The key to our longevity,” Ciccio continued, “is that we pride ourselves on providing friendly, personalized service, always advising what we believe would be the best appliance that meets the needs of our customers. Our service is so personal, we do not have an 800 # because we want to talk with every customer.”

A prominent and active member in the Waterbury community for 35 years, Allstar Home Appliance Center has been a supportive member of the Waterbury Regional Chamber for 16 years, sponsor and participant in fundraising events for such area non-profit organizations as Acts 4 Ministry, Inc., and John Ciccio has served as a co-chair for the food ministry Harvest Pack.
