Frequently Asked Questions - Southbury Town Pool

Registrations for the Southbury Town Pool memberships opened on June 8th. Please purchase your memberships so you and yours can enjoy the pool this summer. The pool is scheduled to open on Monday, June 22.

We have received several inquiries and a few questions were asked frequently.

Question: How many times a week can I sign up for a time slot?

Answer: Depending on a variety of factors we believe we can accommodate you, by reservation, any day that you want to swim! Please be sure to reserve your sessions by calling the office, 203-262-9633.

Q: Can I swim laps at the pool?

Answer: Absolutely! We have designated specific swim times for adults and families to swim laps. Please see sample schedule here. To better serve you, schedules may be subject to change.

Question: Are there lessons this summer at the pool?

Answer: Due to Covid-19, lessons are currently postponed. We ask that patrons use the open swim or the family lap swim sessions to assist your young swimmer acclimate to the pool and learn basic techniques. We will be distributing learning materials to households that patrons can use for their individual teaching opportunities.

Question: Is the season shorted this year?

Answer: Our 2020 summer season is scheduled just as long as last year's season.

Question: How can I sign up for a swim session?

Answer: Please call Southbury Parks and Recreation at 203-262-0633. Online reservations will be available soon. Please reserve your sessions by the Thursday that proceeds the next week. The reservation schedule is from Monday through Sunday.
