Getting Children's and Teen Materials While Upstairs is ClosedWhile upstairs may be closed, you can still put children's and teen books and movies on hold to pick up at the main circulation desk! Read on for two different ways to do this:1. Online:Log in to your online account here and place holds on the books you are interested in picking up by searching in the catalog. Wait to receive confirmation that your hold items have arrived, and then pick them up within six days of getting the email or phone call. If you are having trouble logging into your account, please contact our Reference Department at 203-262-0626 ext. 130 for assistance.

2. By Phone:

Call the Youth Services department during open hours at 203-262-0626 ext. 3 and request your books with a staff member. Depending on book availability, the staff member you speak to may tell you to come in shortly or will put the item(s) on hold for you and)let you know to wait for a phone or email confirmation that your item(s) has(have) arrived. Requesting by phone is also a nice option if you aren't sure exactly what titles you would like, but are looking for something in a certain genre for a certain age group. If you are not comfortable coming into the library to pick up your holds, please contact our Reference Department at 203-262-0626 ext. 130 to arrange alternative service.
