Southbury Public Library in October: Book Talks, Alfred Hitchcock Films, Coyotes, and More

Welcome to October! We will be closed on Monday, October 11, but we look forward to seeing you all the other days of the month.

Currently, masks are required for everyone over the age of 2 inside the library and other municipal buildings regardless of vaccination status, per the First Selectman. As our COVID safety procedures evolve, updates are posted on our website here.

We are excited to kick off our Carol and Gary Lazarus book talk series with Nan Rossiter! She is the Connecticut based, New York Times bestselling author of many novels including Promises to Keep and The Gin & Chowder Club. This presentation by Nan Rossiter will be held in the Kingsley Room on Thursday, October 7 at 2pm. Spaces are limited and registration is required.

Our children's programming continues as all ages are invited to join us live in person in the Kingsley Room for an awesome fall-themed music performance by Ryan SanAngelo on Saturday, October 16 at 1pm. Teens in Grades 6-12 are invited to join us on Thursday, October 14 from 6-7pm in person in the Kingsley Room to make Twine Pumpkins. Our in person children's and teen programs have limited spaces and registration is required.
