Southbury Parks and Recreation Aquatics News

The Southbury Town Pool at Ballantine Park will open this summer as your favorite destination to cool off and unwind.

The facility is the perfect spot for warm weather relaxation and enjoyment. Food and drink are allowed, but please do not bring glass into the facility. In addition to our main pool, the Ballantine kiddie pool will be open for our youngest swimmers. Children who are not potty-trained must wear a swim diaper. The bath house provides women’s and men’s changing areas and restrooms.

Shark Swim Team

Be part of one of State Line Swim League’s most successful teams! The Summer Sharks emphasizes participation, teamwork and fun while teaching swim skills and technique in a relaxed atmosphere. Members have the chance to be on a team, compete for their best times in dual meets and take part in a fun End of Season Invitational.

Swim Lessons

Swim lessons are offered for every level of swimmer! Each session has clear requirements and objectives to help get little swimmers more confident in the water. Lessons will be held in the rain unless it is heavy or accompanied by thunder or lightening. Guardians may stay in the pool area but most levels will require the student to be able to separate easily from their guardian.
