To obtain an absentee ballot, voters must complete an application. Once the completed application is received and verified by the Town Clerk’s office, a ballot will be issued. Absentee ballots must be given to the applicant in person or to the applicant’s designee. Ballots must be returned to this office before the close of polls, 8:00 P.M. on the day of the referendum. The Absentee Ballot Drop Box will be open to receive ballots located at the Town Hall upper parking lot entrance.
Absentee ballot applications for a referendum are available at the Town Clerk’s office or from the Town of Southbury website at www.southbury-ct.org/absenteeballots or the Secretary of State’s website at https://portal.ct.gov/SOTS.
