SOUTHBURY – The Southbury Democratic Town Committee (SDTC) will host “Cocktails with Candidates,” an evening of live music, lite fare, a silent auction, and conversation with friends, Tuesday, August 29th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at 1850 House, 137 East Hill Road overlooking the green at the Silo Point Country Club in Southbury.
Attendees are invited to meet and mingle with Southbury’s 2023 Democratic Municipal Candidates, including Democratic First Selectman candidate Tim O’Neil, and the Democratic Selectmen’s slate of candidates consisting of Justin Bette, Jennifer Fenn, and Kimberly McNeil, along with other special invited guests who will be present to talk with constituents.
“The beautiful, country setting of the 1850 House lends itself to a relaxed evening of socializing among friends and neighbors,” said SDTC Chair Michael Carrington. “This is the perfect place to meet and get to know the local candidates running for office in the November 7 Municipal Election.”
“Join us for a cocktail, and strike up conversations about life in Southbury, what you love most about the town, and what changes you would like to see. The candidates will be listening to and answering your questions. This is a fabulous way to get involved in the community and learn about the people who run the day-to-day operations of your hometown,” Mr. Carrington concluded.
Seating is limited and reservations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the SDTC website at www.southburydemocrats.com and completing the reservation form. Tickets are $40 per person and include a drink ticket for a glass of beer or wine. A cash bar is available for additional beverage purchases. Tickets purchased at the door are $50 per person.
