The Oxford Resident State Trooper’s Office seeks the identity of two female larceny suspects.
On October 4, 2017, two female suspects in a dark-colored Chrysler sedan cashed two fraudulent/forged personal checks totaling over $3,900.00 at the Ion Bank in Oxford.
The personal checks were drawn from other banks but were made out to an Ion Bank customer. The female suspect in the passenger seat presented the Ion customer's stolen CT driver's license in order to cash the checks.
Prior to the Oxford transaction, the same two female suspects attempted to cash the checks at the Ion Bank in Ansonia, but the teller refused.
Following the Oxford transaction the same two female suspects attempted to cash more fraudulent/forged checks at the Ion Bank in Naugatuck, however, the teller stalled the transaction and contacted the Naugatuck Police Department. Before officers arrived at the bank, the female suspects fled. Naugatuck Police seized the checks and the Ion customer’s stolen driver’s license.
The Ion customer's pocketbook had originally been stolen out of her vehicle in Naugatuck on October 2, 2017.
The license plate attached to the suspect vehicle was reported stolen out of Danbury.
