Police Investigate Possible Firearm at Purchase Brook Road in Southbury

On May 21, 2018, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Troopers from Troop A and the Southbury Resident Trooper’s Office responded to a disturbance at a residence on Purchase Brook Road in Southbury.  Troopers made contact with the accused party and that individual, who may be in possession of a firearm, has refused to exit the residence to speak with Troopers.  

Personnel from the CSP Emergency Services Unit (ESU) have responded to the scene and are communicating with the accused party regarding his exiting the residence.

There were no injuries reported during the disturbance and there is no threat to the public.

There are currently several road closures/detours in place in the area around Purchase Brook Road.
