Cyclist in Oxford hit by vehicle, police seek identity of operator who left the scene

State Police and the Oxford Resident Troopers Office are looking for information regarding a vehicle that struck a bicyclist on Route 67 in front of the entrance to Market 32 at 300 Oxford Road.

The cyclist, Nathaniel A Grogan of Seymour, was struck by a vehicle described by witnesses as a light blue, mid-sized SUV or van which was operated by a white male with short blonde hair. The man is described as being between the ages of 30 to 40.

The operator evaded the scene continuing south on Route 67 (Oxford Road).

Several motorists stopped to assist the injured biker who was transported by Oxford EMS to St. Vincents Hosptial for non-life threatening injuries.

Anyone with information about the evading vehicle should contact Troop A in Southbury: 203-267-2240 (attention Oxford Officer Robert Demarais, investigating).
