Christina Scott, a Public Relations Account Executive and Video Manager at Catalyst Marketing Communications in Stamford, was honored as a 2018 “40 Under Forty” winner by the Fairfield County Business Journal.
Scott, 28, was among the honorees at the celebration held on June 19 at The Italian Center in Stamford. She has worked at Catalyst since 2016 as the lead public relations contact for several of the agency’s clients
Scott worked in television news before moving into public relations. She worked at WRNN-TV/Verizon FiOS 1 News and It’sRelevant.com, where her skills were honored by the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists. At Catalyst, in addition to her public relations work, she has also created videos for several agency clients from concept to completion.
In volunteer work, Christina has supported The Center for Sexual Assault for Crisis Counseling and Education in Stamford since 2012. This year, she served as the chair for Women Empowering Women, an event in which women share personal and professional experiences to inspire greatness in all. She helped land an all-star panel for this year’s event that included some of the most recognizable women leaders in Fairfield County.
Scott also co-founded Professional Women of Stamford, which is dedicated to providing networking opportunities to women in the Stamford area as well as hosting philanthropic events to give back to local non-profits. She has helped plan events that have benefited Inspirica, Stamford Hospital’s Bennett Cancer Center and The Center.
“Christina is well-deserving of this recognition, not just for her professional accomplishments but for her volunteer work and dedication to helping others as well. We are incredibly proud to have her as part of our team,” said Melissa LoParco, Catalyst president.
Chambers of Commerce from Fairfield County partnered with the Fairfield County Business Journal to present the awards. The Stamford Chamber of Commerce joined similar agencies from Darien, Danbury, Norwalk, Greenwich, and Shelton along with the Bridgeport Regional Business Council and Business Council of Fairfield County to salute the winners.
Matt Scott, the weekday morning meteorologist for the Fox 61 Morning News, served as the emcee for the event. Justin Charise, the founding partner and a wealth management advisor at Saugatuck Financial, delivered the keynote address. Charise won a “40 Under Forty” award in 2017.
