Chelsea Piers Connecticut is proud to announce an expanded program for the fifth year of the Chelsea Piers Girls Leadership Camp. This innovative week-long camp provides female athletes, ages 13-18, with a unique opportunity to refine their athletic skills while also learning how to become leaders on and off the playing field.
Athletes in soccer, lacrosse, volleyball and field hockey will participate in daily high-level sport training, as well as strength and conditioning programs. In addition to learning sports skills from seasoned coaches, athletes leave with a new and powerful perspective on their own athletic careers from daily lectures and workshops with leaders in sports medicine and business.
The Leadership program aims to reset the athlete’s body and mind, re-energizing players for their Fall season while they get the playing time needed to sharpen their skills.
“Participating in sports builds confidence and empowers young women on and off the field,” commented Greta Wagner, Executive Director, Chelsea Piers Connecticut. “The Chelsea Piers Leadership camp gives young female athletes a jumpstart in developing the necessary skills to be leaders and successful in their sport, school, community and career.”
