Stamford Health is offering a free support group dedicated to providing reassurance, emotional support, and information to anyone who has or will have a colostomy, ileostomy, urostomy, or any other intestinal or urinary diversion. The goal is to provide information on how to care for and live with an ostomy and for group members to support each other.
The group is open to current and future ostomates and their family, friends and caregivers. Led by Cristin Conoscenti, BSN, RN, Stamford Health Ostomy Specialist, the support group will be held at Stamford Hospital, One Hospital Plaza, Stamford, in Conference Room 2B.
This support group is held the last Wednesday of each month from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Upcoming dates include:
- November 27
- January 29
- February 26
