Aldrich After Hours: Hangama Amiri: An Homage to Home

Head to the galleries and Sculpture Garden at the Aldrich to celebrate artist Hangama Amiri’s exhibition and the release of her first museum publication. Chief Curator Amy Smith-Stewart will join Hangama in a conversation about the exhibition, which draws from Amiri’s memories of her homeland in Afghanistan and her diasporic experience as a refugee in Canada, featuring more than a dozen new textile art works and a neon sculpture.

Connecticut Ballet's 42nd season comes to a close with a revival of Brett Raphael's production of Coppelia. This charming full-length ballet follows Swanhilda, and her escapades inside the toy workshop of the mysterious Dr. Coppélius. With new sets and costumes, the production features colorful folkloric dances and culminates in the wedding of Swanhilda and Franz. A meet-and-greet with the principal dancers Nicole Fedorov and Kaitaro Kodama follows the performance in the theater lobby.
