Why Small Businesses Matter

Shop small, do big things for your community

Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!

You're IT Nedor Finance!

Three questions with Aimee Roden, founder of Nedor Finance.

Why did you start your business?

I started my business a year ago after having a partnership for many years. As a Certified Bookkeeper and Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor it was time to go on my own to do what I love and keep it simple. I service small to medium size businesses that don’t have the need or resources for a full-time bookkeeper.  I work with many clients assisting and educating them on how to use QuickBooks and understand their financials to help them grow and be profitable.

Some clients are more hands-on than others with the day-to-day accounting and maintenance of their books while others prefer that I take care of it as they focus their time and energy on running their business.

What is your best-selling product/service?

The service I sell is not just bookkeeping, but advisory and best practices.  I have a medical and legal background as well as many years in the restaurant industry as I worked in the family restaurant, so I learned how to run a business at a young age. As I work with clients from many industries I see what works and what doesn’t work.

How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?

I don’t utilize the services of many other local businesses as most things I do are Internet and software driven.  I do believe in supporting local community businesses and banks as most of my clients are all local businesses.
