Eight area artists will be showcased in Wilton Library’s October art exhibition, “Resilience, Reflection, and Revelations.” The exhibition features the diverse works of women artists: Pam Ackley (Killingworth), Afsaneh Djabbari-Aslani (New Canaan), Alma Faham (Danbury), Cynthia Fazekas (Shelton), Mari Gyorgyey (Stamford), Katya Lebrija (Wilton), Pam Rouleau (Old Greenwich), and Nomi Silverman (Greenwich). They will exhibit their works in an array of styles, media choices, and subject matter, all portraying vibrant and varied types of resilience found in life and nature.

Sirena Huang is one of her generation’s most celebrated violinists. Winner of the 2022 Indianapolis Violin Competition, she brings brilliance and powerful artistry to the stage. Sirena made her solo debut with the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra in 2004 at the age of nine, and, since then, has performed in seventeen countries across three continents. She has been featured as a soloist with more than fifty prestigious ensembles. Motivated by a deep wish to inspire peace and harmony with her music, Sirena has performed before world leaders, thinkers and humanitarians. A master class for advanced violinists will follow the concert. This concert is open to the public. Registration is required. Donations accepted at door.

In addition to being a vocalist, the multitalented Melissa is also a teacher, writer and artist who works primarily in porcelain and stoneware. She has shown her work in galleries around the Northeast. After enjoying a lucrative jingle career, she continues to perform with her trio. Melissa spent almost 20 years volunteering and working with the inspiring women at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, teaching art and singing there and in other communities.
