SilverSource Luncheon to Honor Maureen & Mike Cacace,

Feature Author and Anti-Ageism Activist Ashton Applewhite

STAMFORD, CT (April 11, 2022)…SilverSource will honor Maureen and Mike Cacace at the agency’s "Inspiring Lives" Luncheon on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. The event will take place at Serafina at the IC (1620 Newfield Avenue, Stamford) from 11:30am-2:00pm, and feature renowned anti-ageism author and activist Ashton Applewhite as guest speaker.

The “Adele Gordon Inspiring Lives Award” will be presented to Maureen and Mike for their long-standing contributions to the Stamford community. The award is given annually to recognize community leaders who inspire others. Proceeds will benefit seniors in need and SilverSource programs that ensure older neighbors keep a roof over their heads, with the heat and lights on, food on the table and the medical care they need.

Ashton Applewhite is a leading voice in an emerging movement to dismantle ageism and honor age as a vibrant and necessary aspect of diversity. The author of This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism and a TED mainstage speaker, she revels in the untapped possibilities of later life — and champions a movement to make discrimination on the basis of age as unacceptable as any other kind.

“We are thrilled to recognize Maureen and Mike Cacace for their commitment to the Stamford community and the truly inspiring impact they have made through their extensive community service, outstanding careers and dedication to family,” said Kathleen Bordelon, SilverSource CEO. “We are thrilled to have Ashton Applewhite, the leading voice of anti-ageism around the world, join us as our keynote speaker,” she added.

Multi-level sponsorship opportunities are still available, and individual tickets are $150.
