The Schubert Club of Fairfield County is pleased to announce pianist Jon Nakamatsu for its annual Wendy Tisch Memorial Concert. The anticipated event will be held on Sunday, October 8th at 3pm at the Saxe Middle School Memorial, New Canaan.
An artist whose work has been described by the New York Times as "powerful" and "simply poetic", the former Van Cliburn Gold Medalist will perform works from Brahms, Beethoven, Chopin and of course, Schubert.
"We are very excited to have such a fine pianist, one who has performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Centre, perform right here in Connecticut!" says Seray Goktekin, the President of the Schubert Club of Fairfield County. "We, as a music organization, want to inspire and increase the appreciation of music by continuing to provide high caliber musical events in our local community."
