Swim Across America Fairfield County Raises $365,000 for Crucial Cancer Cell & Gene Therapy Research

Swim Across America Fairfield County recently presented a check for $365,000 to its local beneficiary, the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy (ACGT) for its 2019 fundraising activities.

Swim Across America Fairfield County holds an open water swim at the end of June, pool swims and water polo matches throughout the summer, an ERG Challenge in the fall, and “Make Waves Day” retailer and restaurant days as well as “Sip and Shop” events in the spring and fall — all to raise crucial funds for cancer gene and cell therapy research. This year’s Swim Across America Fairfield County open water swim in Long Island Sound will be held Saturday, June 27, 2020. Registration is open for swimmer, volunteers and boaters at swimacrossamerica.org/fc.
