Bestelling Still Alice author Lisa Genova speaks about her latest book at Ferguson Library on March 21

The Ferguson Library will host an evening of food, wine, and conversation with bestselling author Lisa Genova on Wednesday, March 21. Genova will speak about her latest book, "Every Note Played." The event begins with a reception at 6:30. The talk begins at 7 p.m. A book sale and signing will follow.

If you've ever had the pleasure of reading one of Lisa Genova's bestselling novels, you know what to expect in her new book: bold, unflinching honesty; emotional, intimate writing; and relatable characters. Just as her first book "Still Alice," portrayed the reality of Alzheimer's to life, "Every Note Played" gives the reader a vivid and authentic depiction of ALS. Genova blends her neuroscience background with her literary skills to create a powerful story not only about a neurological condition but also about the human condition. Through the lens of ALS, "Every Note Played" explores regret, forgiveness, letting go, and redemption.

Genova has appeared on Dr. Oz, The TODAY show, PBS NewsHour, and NPR. Her TED Talk "What You Can Do to Prevent Alzheimer's," has been viewed more than two million times.

Tickets are $15 and include a wine and appetizer reception. Proceeds will benefit the Library.

The Ferguson Library is located at One Public Library Plaza, 96 Broad Street in Stamford, Conn. For more information, call (203) 351-8275.
