Don’t miss the Mayor’s Multicultural Council Afternoon of Jazz on Sunday, March 18 from 2-4:30 pm (doors open 1:30 pm) at the Unitarian Universalist Society at 20 Forest St (across Avon Theatre) Stamford
 
Free admission and refreshments. Free public meter and lot parking on Sundays.

Performers include vocalist Dennis Collins accompanied by pianist Josh Sette, multilingual singer Barbara Occhino accompanied by guitarist Carmine Marino,  Maria Tiscia and her "Rio Bound Band" featuring Brazilian Jazz and the multi-talented Altruistic Band. These performers have amazing credits --Dennis Collins sang with legends like Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Roberta Flack, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Carole King, Billy Joel, Diana Ross, Beyoncé, George Benson, and more. The Altruistic band members have played with and/or opened for jazz artists such as: Marion Meadows, the late Dizzy Gillespie, and others.
