The Ballet School of Stamford at Chelsea Piers hosts 19th annual On Pointe event this Sunday

The Ballet School of Stamford is pleased to announce the 19th Annual On Pointe fundraising event at Chelsea Piers Connecticut. Ballet School students will perform on Sunday, April 22 from 4:30pm to 7:00pm in an effort to raise money for the school’s scholarship fund and outreach program, “Dance for All.”

The evening will begin with a sneak peek preview of the Hansel and Gretel ballet in the dance studios at Chelsea Piers with special guest and host, Frank Mastrone, veteran Broadway actor and singer. Mastrone will emcee as well as join the performance. He has performed for more than 25 years in New York and around the country in The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Jekyll and Hyde, Mama Mia, Evita, Cats, Saturday Night Fever and more. The full performance of Hansel and Gretel will be presented the evening of Friday, May 25th at the Palace Theatre in Stamford.

Attendees will end the night in The Loft with a celebration including appetizers and desserts and a selection of wine/beer catered by Nikki Gleka’s Events.

“Our guests always enjoy watching a sneak peek of our upcoming ballet in the studio. Frank Mastrone’s songs weave the variations together creating a very special performance,” commented Marti Etter, Executive Director.

The Ballet School of Stamford collaborates with organizations to provide scholarship opportunities for children to participate in an activity they love through their outreach program, “Dance for All.”

Tickets for On Pointe at Chelsea Piers are available for purchase at $75 per person and $700 for a table of ten, and a range of sponsorship opportunities are available. Tickets can be purchased on line at www.tututix.com/bsscp or by calling the school at 203-989-1555.

About The Ballet School of Stamford

The Ballet School of Stamford was founded in 1998 to provide excellent dance training for all children. With it’s move to Chelsea Piers in September the school continues to grow and currently has 300 students ranging in ages from 3 to 18 whose study focuses on ballet along with classes in jazz, modern, hip-hop and ballroom dance. The school’s outreach program “Dance for All” provides scholarships and brings 1500 school children to their Spring performance at the Palace Theatre for free each year. The Ballet School of Stamford is proud to collaborate with other arts and social services organizations to provide opportunities for local children. The school embraces the long-term commitment it makes when it accepts a scholarship student into their first class. Understanding that true transformation occurs through perseverance, the school provides financial assistance to each student for as long as they demonstrate the interest and commitment required for their dance education.
